What We Hope To Accomplish
It is our goal to share information about this problem among those affected. Further, we hope to determine the magnitude and severity of the problem in the region. Our primary concern is this may spread to other banks. We know there are banks (other than AmSouth) who have taken similar actions over the last eighteen months and many have taken the same position since October. AmSouth is NOT an isolated case -- it's just the most widespread.
Based on our findings we may use this forum as a way to develop a plan to counteract this threat and to help our members who have the unpleasant experience of being dropped by their bank..
