TPCA MEETING & SEMINAR

An Important Meeting To Discuss The Court's Recent Ruling Invalidating The Pawn Act and Other Critically Important Issues Effecting The Industry.

WHAT:

This meeting will include a complete review and discussion of the impact of the recent ruling that invalidates the Alabama Pawn statute by our experts along with Senator Barron's plans to introduce legislation that will shut us down!  These are  serious issues!  In addition, there will be discussions on many other critically important topics that effect your business.  Among our guests will be Mr. Scott Corscadden with the State of Alabama Banking Department, Mr. Jeff Ingram our association attorney and Mr. Michael Sullivan our governmental liaison coordinator.  There will also be other important speakers including Alabama legislators.   For those who have plans to attend the Modern Financial Services payday meeting the next day click here for more information regarding that meeting.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Anyone who is in the title pawn business or who is a member of the Title Pawn Council of Alabama (TPCA).  The meeting is open to members and non-members alike. The primary meeting focus will be issues relating to the title pawn business.  There will be some discussion of payday issues.  We encourage those whose primary business is payday or deferred deposit to attend the Modern Financial Services (payday association') meeting the next day.  Click here for information regarding the Modern meeting.

MEETING REGISTRATION

To register click here to download and print the registration packet (this may take a moment to download).  You will need to return the registration form via fax in order to register.  Please do this ASAP.

MEETING FEES:

Members -- $85,  Non-Members -- $145.  Fee includes one person from a company.  Each additional person is $35 for members and non-members.

OTHER:

The Modern Financial Services Association of Alabama (payday association) has a meeting scheduled the next day for Wednesday, September 20th.  If you wish to attend their meeting the next day the venue is less than 15 minutes from the Doubletree Hotel where our meeting is being held.  For convenience, you may want to stay at the Doubletree and attend both meetings.
